Oxen Craig Lodge

Oxen Craig Lodge sits on its own among trees near Inverurie, with a private wood-burning hot tub on the decking—the kind you fill and heat yourself, which takes time but creates something memorable. The whole place is yours alone: a single bedroom with a king bed, two bathrooms with walk-in showers, and an open-plan living space with a smart TV, dining area and kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Everything on the ground floor. A gas barbecue in a gazebo and garden furniture complete the setup outside.

The lodge works for two people who want genuine seclusion. Woodland surrounds it on the south side, which means sun most of the day. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are included. One dog stays free. Inverurie is the nearest town; the coast is 22 miles away. Smoking is not permitted inside.
