Aberdeenshire

The Burn - North Lodge is a ground-floor cottage that comes ready to use. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, along with fuel for the open fire. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob for cooking proper meals, the living and dining spaces flow together around a working fireplace, and there are two twin bedrooms—each with two single beds—plus a bathroom with a bath and shower. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
The property sits on a private 200-acre estate near Edzell in Aberdeenshire, with direct access to woodland walks including the Blue Door Walk through Gannochy Gorge, and fishing rights on the River North Esk for those with a licence. The enclosed garden has seating and furniture; there is parking for two cars on site. The estate also has croquet, tennis and a putting green, plus a bar at the mansion house. Edzell village itself is a mile away, with pubs, cafés and the 16th-century castle and its walled gardens. Golfers will find Edzell Golf Club nearby and championship courses further afield, while those after higher ground can walk Mount Keen, Scotland's most easterly Munro.
