Hidden gem! We absolutely loved our time at smugglers cove! We were greeted by a lovely woman Sophie who was friendly and welcoming. We were offered the use of wheelbarrows to get our camping equipment to the pitch which gave us a real sense of adventure! There’s only three camping pitches with the most amazing views, so it feels very secluded, like you have your own private little beach. This is my favourite camping sites we’ve ever been too and we made some amazing memories here. Would 10/10 recommend and we can’t wait to go back! ❤️

Beautiful getaway. We camped on one of the three secluded pitches on the shoreline, secluded from the boatyard. Stunning and private spots - almost feels wild. Fire pits are great additions. The boatyard itself is really cool too. Facilities are amazing and eco friendly. A no frills place, which makes it all the better. We'll be back!

Great place if you like the basics. Lovely owner. Hot showers and an outside one (if you're brave), toilets, and washing up area. Peaceful with a minimal number of people. Options to pitch tents, stay in converted boats or a cottage. Definitely go back. Love to go sooner however it's booked.

We stayed in the Boy John dry-docked boat on the beach and rented one of the camping pitches near by. We slept 4 on the boat and 4 on the tent pitch and we all had a fantastic time. The tent pitch was well turfed, spacious and private with incredible views over the estuary. The boat was amazing!! Far better than expected, with far more amenities than expected! It had 2 gas rings, an electric kettle, sink, mini fridge, pots, pans, cutlery, a piano, a wood burner and electric power sockets! We did feel like cheating when we said we were camping... The boat had a wonderful bedroom in the back, very small but with a comfortable double bed, and it had a fold out bed upstairs. We also had a spot outside the boat for a campfire, with nice seats. The welcome was lovely and we had all we needed. We did get a minor noise complaint at high tide, but the sound does travel well in the estuary! Would very very happily come back here for another weekend!
