About Bryncelyn Uchaf Camping Site
Perched in the rolling Welsh countryside with sweeping views over Abersoch Bay and the Snowdonian peaks beyond, this friendly family-run site makes an excellent base for exploring the Llŷn Peninsula's beaches and walking trails. The 26-50 pitch setup keeps things peaceful, with car parking alongside each spot and a well-maintained facilities block offering hot showers and washing-up areas. Families appreciate the play area and dog-friendly policy (year-round, no less), while the site welcomes tourers, tents, motorcyclists and even rallies or student groups.
The location shines for outdoorsy types—sailing and watersports beckon down at Abersoch, while coastal paths and Snowdonia's hills are all within easy reach. Some visitors note the facilities, while functional and clean, can feel a touch basic compared to posher sites, but most reckon the stunning setting and reasonable approach more than compensate. Shop and pub are a short trip away, and there's tourer storage if you fancy leaving the van between visits.

What visitors say
Very well kept campsite, the grass was short and everything was clean. Activity until 11pm ish and then silent all night. Seems to be quite a few regulars which is a good sign, and everyone adhered to the curfew so that was nice. Prices are competitive for the area. Fields are gently sloped, and there are flat bits dotted around. There's also a small kids play-area in one of them. The views of the surrounding hills and fields are very picturesque. As others have mentioned there's no toilet paper provided, it's not an issue if you know to bring your own, but does feel a strange omission. Obviously something has gone on in the past to bring this rule in, which is a shame for the owner and the guests. All-in-all a nice stay.

Good place very close to Hell’s Mouth Beach, facilities are okay. I don’t appreciate anywhere that doesn’t supply toilet paper, that’s a basic need and people forget to bring it. I like how they play the radio in the toilets. Lovely man running the place who is always working and cleaning. Great choice of recycling bins too which I like. I just wish they provided toilet paper.

Great base for exploring the peninsula. Campsite really well maintained with toilets and shower area nice and clean. All basic but ideal. Great view from the field approx 2m from Abersoch. Would definitely stay again if we revisit the peninsula. Thanks for having us Steve.

This camp site is beautiful, with stunning views looking over Abersoch and well run by Steve who is very helpful and gives great advice. Me and my sister stopped her end of April to beginning of May. It is very quite and clean my dogs where also allowed on site but have to stay on lead which is not a problem. The toilets and the shower where very clean, felt guilt as Steve had just cleaned the floor and I went in with grass on my feet as he'd just cut the grass, which is good for anyone in a tent no lumps or bumps. As in other reviews take some 10p for the shower 40p is enough to have a good shower. I wouldn't hesitate to stop here again if I find myself in this area again. Thanks Steve for letting us stay on your camp site.
