About Riverside Caravan Park

Tucked into the Ystwyth Valley just outside Aberystwyth, Riverside Caravan Park lives up to its name with a peaceful, riverside setting that's popular with walkers and cyclists exploring the Ceredigion countryside. The site keeps things simple but well-maintained—clean facilities, pitches with car parking alongside, and a friendly welcome that sees many guests returning year after year. Families appreciate the play area and the freedom for kids (and dogs) to roam safely, while the surrounding landscape delivers proper Welsh valleys scenery without feeling too remote.

Location is a real strength: Aberystwyth's shops, beaches and Victorian promenade are a short drive away, while the quiet lanes around the park offer excellent cycling and access to coastal paths. Some visitors note the facilities can feel a little dated, but the overall package—especially the tranquil riverside atmosphere and genuine warmth from the owners—more than compensates for any lack of modern polish.

Don't bother with a touring pitch! I left after 8 years as there was no hot water in the showers for months on end and this happened on several occassions over a couple of years. They put the fees up every year but the facilities are very poor. They've now posted they are closing the showers from 5pm to 9am as someone is defecating in them and their CCTV hasn't worked for years! If you complain about anything they kick you off site! Owners are awful, very aggressive and rude!

Love this place. Our first season here after 3 seasons on another site. We love the place. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. So glad we moved. Peaceful and quiet site, excellent area for kids to play, a river and walks all on site.

I used to go to this site as a kid and lived it. It certainly isn't a busy site, it is built out of the way deep down into a valley which gives you the freedom and security to allow your kids to wander around. The river is a great feature as it looks really nice and isn't at all deep which means it's safe for kids to play in it. The only thing that let's this place down is borth itself as the town is quite run down and so I wouldn't suggest staying for more than a long weekend.
