Newborough Forest Holiday Park

Just took our motorhome out on her maiden voyage and booked this site as we wanted a mix of forest and beach and it’s close proximity to Newborough was perfect. The site was clean, well maintained, dog friendly! The showers, toilets and kitchen washing up station were clean! Easy walking through the forest to Newborough beach directly from the site. We would definitely return

Very disappointed with this campsite. Had a 2 night stay. Got email saying you are on pitch 39, ok. Rolled up, found pitch 39, couldn't really call it a grass pitch, more like soil pitch with dog poo on it. Small pitch, couldn't even put out awning out. Went out for the day and in are return found it difficult the back into pitch 39 as pitch 40 had taken up a lot of space, even with there very large (compered to our) pitch. Yes did try contacting owners but no one there even though we knocked very loudly on door. It says nice quiet site no groups. How wrong, kids running roud all over the place, kicking balls about even though NO FOOTBALL. Nose till after midnight. Shows and toilets, although very clean not enough, 2 toilets 3 shared showers. Absolutely joke for a campsite this size. I always book small family/Farm campsite as to support them over big private campsite. Won't ever be back. Pitch 39 should not be used and payed £71 for that.

We stayed here for one night to end our trip in North Wales. The hosts were really lovely and we felt really welcomed upon arrival. Facilities were clean and the campsite was quiet at night. Would definitely recommend :)

We stayed at Newborough Forest Holiday Park on Anglesey and found it to be a fairly basic site in a good location. The site itself is an open field with electric hookups, but pitches are not particularly level, so some adjustment may be needed when setting up. Arrival is very hands-off—you’re sent your pitch number in advance and can go straight to it, and we didn’t see any staff during our stay. Facilities are basic, with toilets, showers and a wash-up area, but no additional amenities such as a shop or enhanced facilities. The real advantage of the site is its location, with easy access to Newborough Forest and the nearby beach, which has a large car park, toilets and occasional food vans. The area is great for walking, and the site is very dark at night, making it good for stargazing. However, the site itself is more functional than the website suggests. We also found the minimum stay requirement restrictive, as we had to book three nights but only stayed one due to weather. Overall, it’s an okay base for exploring the area, but fairly basic.
