About Ballyrobin Country Lodge

Antrim sits within easy reach of the airport, and Ballyrobin Country Lodge makes the most of that position, offering a quiet countryside base rather than a city-centre stay. The lodge has 21 rooms and is geared towards travellers who want comfort without fuss, whether passing through or staying a little longer.

Rooms come with air conditioning and free WiFi, and there's a garden to sit out in when the weather allows. The restaurant and bar are a real focus here, with a kitchen that turns out a solid breakfast and steak dishes that keep people coming back, though the food doesn't always hit the same mark on every visit. Facilities extend to a lift, luggage storage, meeting rooms and concierge services, plus the lodge doubles as a wedding venue, so there's capacity for events as well as overnight stays.

Free on-site parking and airport transfer options make it a practical choice for early flights or late arrivals, while Antrim itself is close by for shopping at Castle Court and everyday amenities. Staff are attentive and the rooms are kept clean and comfortable, making it a dependable stop rather than a destination in itself.

What did you like about your stay in the property or location? The room was absolutely lovely, and had a stunning view of the countryside. The staff were all wonderfully pleasant, especially the gentleman at breakfast who ensured I was very well looked after, despite having to leave before 6:30 in the morning. Absolutely blown away by the great service. What did you not like about your stay in the property or location? Everything was so wonderful. The one and only thing that let the accommodation down was the water pressure for the bath. It was so low that it was practically unusable. But we ended up using the shower to speed up the process.

A decent place to stop and pause near the airport. Plenty of hotel parking. Good size bar/lounge/restaurant with seating in several styles from traditional country inn to modern eaterie. Free fast WiFi that works - handy to track your delayed airplane . The food is nice except for desserts that taste consistently stale from one visit to the next. I have not used the bedrooms.

Ballyrobin Country Lodge is generally very well-reviewed as a comfortable and convenient place to stay near Belfast International Airport, offering a balance between hotel-style amenities and a quieter countryside setting. One of its biggest advantages is the location. It’s only a few minutes from the airport, making it ideal for early flights or late arrivals, yet it feels more relaxed and less busy than airport hotels. Guests often appreciate the peaceful surroundings along with easy access to main roads. Rooms are frequently described as clean, spacious, and modern. Many reviewers highlight the comfortable beds, good soundproofing, and well-maintained facilities. The décor is typically contemporary, giving it a more updated feel compared to some traditional country lodges nearby. Service is another strong point. Staff are often praised for being friendly, professional, and efficient, helping with check-in, transport arrangements, or local information. The overall atmosphere is described as welcoming but still organized and hotel-like. The on-site restaurant receives positive feedback as well. Guests often mention good-quality food, generous portions, and a pleasant dining environment, which is especially convenient given the location near the airport. On the downside, some guests note that prices can be slightly higher due to the proximity to the airport. A few reviews mention occasional noise from nearby roads or limited public transport options, meaning taxis or a car may be necessary. Overall, Ballyrobin Country Lodge is seen as a reliable, comfortable, and well-run option. It’s especially suited for travelers who want modern comfort, good food, and easy airport access without staying directly inside a busy terminal hotel.

Lovely hotel, great breakfast but badly needs some sort of sound proofing! Got no sleep at all between the traffic/ road noise on one side and the airport runway on the other 🙈. Would not stay here again for this reason 😑
