What visitors say
Spent several hours roaming throughout the beautiful gardens. Self tour inside the castles with handheld device you hold up to your ear. Bring your own plug in headphones to connect if you wish. We were serenaded with a Bagpipe player. There was a couple gifts hops and snack bar on the grounds.

Very beautiful castle. I've just been here 2 weeks ago. By cruise ship and on excursion. Totally recommend. Beautiful. It doesn't take long to visit everything. You can see the flower gardens afterwards and enjoy the view and the fresh air. There are shops, toilets and a coffee bar. The shops are ok.... just be sure you don't buy wool products in Scotland. The price is off the charts >60£. You can go to east europe if you want some gloves or a beanie. Otherwise you can buy some magnets. Price is very standard. Btw no rucksack is allowed inside!

Open when other castles are closed, make a quick stop into the well preserved tower and castle or spend the day exploring the gardens, trails and grounds. Either way you go, it's a wonderful, immersive experience into the opulence and history of Scottish nobility. Loved the entire visit!

Just visited the gardens which were incredible! Lots of colorful blooms, air filled with bird song, friendly staff, creative and inspiring grounds! So much to see, we need to go back, and see the Castle interior too. Apparently, it is occupied during the winter and only open a short time during spring and summer. We'll worth a visit. Cannot talk backpacks into the castle
