Culcharry Cottage

Nairn's stretch of golden sand and outdoor attractions—golf courses, bowling, tennis—sit within easy reach of Culcharry Cottage, a rural property set back in woodland with its own enclosed garden. The cottage itself spreads across two floors with three bedrooms (a double, a zip-and-link twin, and a single), one bathroom, and room for five. A woodburner in the sitting room and open fire in the main living space provide warmth; both rooms have seating, though only one has a television. The kitchen comes fully equipped for cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, air fryer—and there is a separate dining area nearby.

What you get included covers the essentials: electricity, wi-fi, bed linen, towels, and fuel for the fires. The garden wraps around the property with a terrace and barbecue for outdoor meals, and there is a table tennis table stored in the garage. Parking is straightforward—one car in the garage, two more in the private spaces outside. One well-behaved dog is welcome. The property is not suitable for smoking. A conservation village with a pub and shop lies a mile away; Cawdor Castle and its grounds are adjacent and open seasonally. Inverness, the Cairngorms, and their skiing and mountain activities are all within 30 minutes' drive.

Loved a wee break with all the surrounding autumnal colours. Cottage spotless, all amenities you would want cosy comfortable rustic charm with logburner and open fire. Wonderful location. What more can you want.😄

This location was outstanding. We spent the entire day in the area. Cawdon tavern was incredible.

It's a very lovely and cosy cottage with wood burner and hot tub with a view. It's just 10 min drive from Nair situated in quiet area. I never met the owners as my train got cancelled on the day and arrived late. But we were provided with bread, milk, some mint chocolate and 2 small bottles of wine (red& white). One downside was that at night time it was raining and because of the roof material it was very loud and I could hear it through my ear plugs. But apart from that everything was great. We went for a woodland walk near by. But I would suggest to do the river walk from the harbour in Nairn, where you can park for free. And also see lovely, sandy Nairn beach.
