I love this site and I am so sad to see CAMC lose the management of it but I do hope the estate will continue to operate the site for future visitors. It's magical location with the key to the gate allowing access to the estate grounds "after hours" is just wonderful and meant many an evening stroll watching deer and other wildlife. Very peaceful and good for the soul.

Great site which is very close to Chatsworth House. There's a gate which gives direct access to the grounds, a key for which is given on arrival. There's plenty of wildlife on site, the ducks and pheasants are super friendly. Bakewell is a short distance away where the best Bakewell tart can be tried out in the cafés and coffee shops. The National Trust owned Hardwick hall is half an hour away, and we'll worth a visit. The wardens were very friendly and helpful and the amenities were, as always, spotless. Thank you

Lovely campsite. Dog walk so can be off lead not that large but perfect for quick roam. Fantastic walks around especially round Chatsworth house but dogs must be on leads. Dog shower so always a bonus as I have a spaniel!!! Love this campsite.

A lovely site in the old walled garden of Chatsworth House with good sized plots and a clean well positioned shower block. It's surrounded by trees which are full of local bird life. But be prepared for an early rise as the local rookery can be a little bit noisy early doors but not really a problem as it doesn't last too long. The reward for staying here is your own key to access a special door to access the fantastic parklands of Chatsworth House which gives you the chance to enjoy the many walks in the House estate. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it for a short stay as it's within easy reach of the M1 . We will certainly be visiting again soon as there's still plenty of places to see and visit in the area.
