About Sunbeam Bed and Breakfast
Ballymena, in County Antrim, makes a handy starting point for exploring the rest of Northern Ireland, and Sunbeam Bed and Breakfast on Springmount Road offers a straightforward place to stay while you do. It's a small, personally run B&B rather than a big hotel, with 24 hour reception and free on-site parking for anyone arriving by car.
Rooms are en-suite and family rooms are available, with drinks provided and WiFi throughout. Breakfast is included, and a packed lunch can be arranged for early starts or day trips. Outside, there's a garden with outdoor seating and garden views, a pleasant spot to sit before heading out for the day. Pets are welcome too, so the trip doesn't have to mean leaving the dog behind.
Pubs, restaurants and other places to eat are all within easy reach nearby, along with local entertainment options, so evenings don't need much planning. Luggage storage is available for those with an early check-in or late departure, making Sunbeam a practical base for touring the county.
What guests say
We were so happy to find this place in co Antrim. The booking was very last-minute for us, but they had our room ready even before the check-in time. The house was gorgeous, really welcoming, spacious, and clean. Our room was perfect for two people and couldn't have bee any cleaner. We were also provided with water, tea, coffee and milk. The location is great for exploring the north coast, which is just stunning. However, the best part was, without a doubt, Neil and his wife Nikki. Neil showed us around, making sure we had absolutely everything we could possibly need. They cooked an amazing (and huge) breakfast for us, and recommended the best places to eat and visit in the area. On our last day, we had to leave early in the morning and skip breakfast, but Neil had fresh coffee and sandwiches ready to go for us at 6 am. Definitely the place to stay!

A fantastic stay from start to finish. Nikki and Neil are genuinely welcoming hosts who make you feel right at home. Breakfast was outstanding — fresh, generous, and easily the best we had on the trip. Dinners were excellent and portions were huge. Comfortable rooms, great hospitality, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. A memorable stop in Northern Ireland and highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I had a lovely stay at the Sunbeam B&B. The service was excellent, Nikki and Neil are both very attentive and so willing to help. The rooms are brilliant, so clean and comfortable. The B&B is in a great location, very accessible if you are attending wedding/events in the Ballymena area. Amazing value for money, well worth a visit!

My bridal party and I stayed here the night before my wedding and got ready the morning of. Nikki and Neil were so lovely, making sure we had everything we needed to feel comfortable and looked after. The morning went so smoothly! The homemade breakfast was fabulous, the chat between everyone was great, and the occasional appearance of their puppies was a treat. It truly felt like we were staying with friends and it made the lead up to my wedding all the more special. Would recommend staying here a million times over!
