Old School House works well for couples or small families after something different. The single bedroom has a double bed and space for two children on fold-out Z-beds, and you get the whole place to yourself. It sits within ten acres of private woodland near Newbury, with direct access to explore the grounds; children can roam, build dens, and look for the deer, foxes and bats that move through the trees. Peacocks, chickens and geese also live on the land.
The converted building has its own bathroom with shower and toilet. There's a kitchen corner with a mini fridge, kettle and toaster for basics, and an undercover cooking area outside with a gas stove and charcoal barbecue. The communal firepit with log seating is steps away—perfect for cooking or simply sitting out. A decked area wraps around your accommodation. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included, and the essentials like tea, coffee and milk are provided. The nearest pub is within a mile; Woolton Hill village, a short walk away, has a shop, post office and three more pubs if you need them. No smoking indoors.
