This is an area with precious ancient woodland. Habitat to much native wildlife. It has a public footpath running across the land which many people enjoy. Especially during these recent ‘stay at home except for exercise’ times. It is also the place where Watership Down, Richard Adam’s book and the later film is set. Surprisingly there have been numerous attempts to build here on pristine land rather than grey areas. I do hope people will do the right thing, think of the future and fully protect it.

What a beautiful natural oasis. Cant belive the local authority have agreed plans for 500 house on this site.. The landscape was designed by Lancelot Capability Brown and is one of Newbury's best kept secrets..absolutely heartbreaking.
