The Meadow Pod

Stockbridge sits in open countryside between Basingstoke and the Test Valley, surrounded by farmland and woodland typical of northern Hampshire. The village has a local pub within walking distance and retains the quiet character of a working agricultural area. The Meadow Pod is a standalone glamping structure on this rural setting, offering self-catering accommodation for groups or families wanting something different from a traditional cottage.
The pod contains one bedroom and one bathroom, but sleeps up to six through a combination of beds and pull-out sleeping arrangements. Electricity, bed linen and towels are all provided, so you arrive to a made-up bed and everyday essentials ready. The interior is furnished for comfort rather than cramped camping—there's space to move around, somewhere to cook and eat, and a proper shower and toilet. Heating and hot water mean it works through cooler months as well as summer. No smoking is permitted inside.
This works well for a group of friends, a multi-generational family, or anyone wanting rural seclusion without being completely off-grid. The surrounding area is quiet; the nearest pub is less than a mile away. Broughton Primary School is nearby if you're thinking about the locality. From here you can walk into the wider Test Valley landscape or drive to attractions across north Hampshire and beyond.

What guests say
Every now and then you stay at a place where you say, we are definitely coming back. Meadow Glamping is one of those. Kate (owner) is a pleasure throughout, with a warm welcoming smile. The site is so well thought out for moments of quietude, relaxation and emotional balance. If you just want to stay on site, the ducks, pond and wallop brook will provide that grounding, but there is so much to explore beyond the gates of Meadow Glamping that we are coming back for more. Thank you.

The most amazing weekend staying at The Meadow Glamping on the fantastic boat, The Magic Rat. Beautiful surroundings, so peaceful and the best nights sleep on the boat. Welcomed by the resident ducks who are a joy to have around! Great facilities to bbq and sit outside to enjoy the evening by fairy light… Excellent shower for private use as well as a shared fridge for use with the other guests. We were blessed with amazing weather so it really was perfect. Thanks so much for having us, cannot wait to return.

We rented the whole of the Meadow Glamping including Meadowbrook house for our wedding in July. It was incredible, such a unique, relaxed setting. We stayed for 3 nights, so we were able to enjoy the pool and BBQ with friends and family before and after the wedding, and also had plenty of time to set up and take down. On the day itself people loved the rowing boat, playing tennis and meeting the ducks! It is such a special place, we will have fantastic memories forever!
