Bath's Georgian architecture and Roman history draw visitors year-round, but plenty of people prefer to base themselves outside the city proper. This single-storey cottage occupies a converted stable building within a rural village, a short drive from the World Heritage Site and its museums, spas and restaurants. The Little Theatre is among the nearby cultural landmarks. From here, public footpaths lead into surrounding woodland and fields.

The property has one bedroom with a kingsize bed, a shower room, and a combined living and dining space with a woodburner. Patio doors open from both the bedroom and living room onto a small lawned garden furnished for outdoor sitting, and there is use of a shared larger garden with additional seating. The kitchen is equipped for cooking from scratch, with an electric cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. One dog lives on the owner's property; guests' pets are welcome and stay free. Two cars can be parked on site, and there is an electric car charging point available at extra cost. No smoking is permitted inside.

Shops and takeaways lie within a mile; pubs and restaurants within three. The village itself is quiet, though the owner's dog may be heard occasionally.

Stopped in at The Bath Stable while on a full-day bus tour from London. Immediately seated on a busy Saturday around 1:00pm. Easy ordering at the bar. We had a cider flight, a pint of beer, Mac n cheese, and nachos. The cider flight is preselected, I would have liked to have the option of choosing one or two other on tap ciders from their menu. Overall, good.

The Bath Stable was one of the highlights of our visit to Bath. The pizzas were absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients, a perfectly cooked crust, and great flavor. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and welcoming, making it a lovely place to enjoy a meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. Everything from the food to the overall experience exceeded our expectations. I would happily recommend this place to anyone visiting Bath and will definitely come back next time I’m in the city.
