Absolutely fantastic visit! Fascinating history, premises, legacy and architecture! I love how seamlessly they manage to have people tour while respecting the students campus life. Time your tour well to be able to see the hall where students still eat everyday that inspired the great hall design of Harry Potter. It was interesting to learn that the story of Alice in Wonderland was intertwined with the history and people that were part of Oxford history. The great hall has images in the windows of the girl that inspired the story (I'll let you read up the history and names on your own!). Back to my point, time your visit to ensure the hall is opened, the chapel, etc.

The Roman Baths were fantastic and one of the highlights of our time in Bath. The site is incredibly well preserved, and the entire experience does an excellent job of bringing Roman Britain to life. Walking through the original bathing complex, seeing the ancient engineering, and learning how central the baths were to everyday Roman life was fascinating. I enjoyed it far more than I expected and could have spent even longer exploring. One practical warning: the lower levels get extremely hot, especially on a warm day. Once we got farther underground, it felt almost unbearably warm, so dress lightly, bring water, and keep that in mind if you are visiting during the summer. Even with the heat, this is an absolute must-see in Bath. It is immersive, historic, beautifully presented, and completely worth the visit.

The Roman Baths would be worth the £30 per person admission. In the end, we decided to go, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The site is incredibly well preserved and offers a fascinating insight into Roman history, architecture, and everyday life. Walking through the ancient baths, courtyards, and museum spaces really gives you a sense of how impressive this place must have been nearly 2,000 years ago. The audio guide was excellent, providing plenty of historical context without ever feeling overwhelming. I particularly enjoyed learning how the natural hot springs were used by the Romans and how the site evolved over the centuries. The exhibits are well organised, with a great balance of artefacts, historical information, and immersive displays. A lovely surprise was seeing an actress walking around in character, interacting with visitors and helping bring the site to life. It added an extra layer of authenticity and made it even easier to imagine the baths when they were bustling with people. The atmosphere around the Great Bath is especially memorable. The combination of the stunning architecture, rising steam, and historic surroundings creates a unique experience. Although it can get busy, the site is well managed, and it never detracted from our visit. Overall, the Roman Baths are absolutely worth visiting and, in my opinion, a must-see when you're in Bath. It's educational, unique, visually stunning, and offers a much deeper appreciation of the city's remarkable history.

A unique, very well-preserved site of ancient history. The audio guide is excellent, with a very engaging narrative, and all the exhibits are very thoughtfully put together. The projections on the walls are fun and make the whole experience feel more alive for something that is nearly 2000 years old. The only downside is the steep entry price. I realise that it takes a lot of money to preserve, maintain and research historical artifacts and sites, and although it felt worth the money for us, I can see how it could make this visit unaffordable for many, which is a pity because there is so much to learn here.
