What guests say
We really love staying in this hotel! It’s got beautiful quirky decor, lovely rooms, great food, comfy beds and the staff are generally welcoming and friendly. Staying here feels like a treat. A couple of things could be improved, for example food service can sometimes be a bit inconsistent/slow, but this is made up for by the quality of the food served. Cleanliness of the rooms could do with a bit of attention to detail; key areas like the bathroom and bed/bedsheets were pristine, but some nooks and crannies looked like they’d not seen a dust cloth in a while. None of this would stop us visiting again and we look forward to our next stay :)

We wrote to the hotel to give them a chance to discuss our problem, no response. Breakfast was part of our deal, we sat down ordered it, we were not told at any stage there would be a long wait, after an hour we asked, then told a delay, asked how long the server did not come back, people before us still waiting, it could have been another 39 minutes making it at least 1 and a half hours, we were running late as had family commitments, so we had to leave. No one seemed to be in charge or talking to customers, only one Server. Not happy as we stay in lots of hotels and never problems with simple breakfasts. More disappointed that they didn't respond to our message.

Great location in the heart of Bedford town ,easy to get around ,great walks can be taken in the nearby park ,it has a good selection of local beer and ales worth the try ,book a table or just turn up ,plenty of seating inside and out ,good sized beer garden with parts under cover ,inside good vintage decor ,having the sash windows open provided much needed breeze. Bi fold doors also open up the Interior to the beer garden, parking for upto ten cars ,plus charging points for electric top ups .quite a few rooms to book to create the prefect weekend getaway . Food of a high quality recommended.

Just been in for a pint of brewpoint lemon, in the happy hour. Lady bar staff charged £6.70. I asked if it is a brewpoint pint then in the happy hour it should be £5. Her reply was that it says excluding the lemon lager and it says it at the bottom of the notice board. I went out to inform her that it doesn't and her simple reply was "Oh ok". #Brewpoint, teach your staff to be empathic...... After review and feedback......still no correction on outside A-board
