About Pilgrims Progress Wetherspoon
Pilgrims Progress Wetherspoon runs on the reliable Wetherspoon formula of cheap drinks and hearty food, with a bar serving a wide selection alongside a breakfast spread that stretches to vegan choices. It's the kind of place where the pub itself is as much a reason to stay as the rooms upstairs, and the value on offer runs through both.
There are 31 rooms, all en-suite, with air conditioning, free WiFi, room service and drinks available on request. Family rooms and accessible rooms are provided, along with a lift, so the hotel works for a range of guests, and rooms are kept clean throughout. Service tends to be friendly and prompt, though a few visitors have found it inconsistent at busier times.
Beyond the rooms, there's a restaurant, a garden, and 24 hour reception, plus meeting rooms and business services for anyone travelling for work. The Midland Road address puts guests within reach of further pubs, bars and restaurants nearby, making it a straightforward, well-located base for exploring Bedford.

What guests say
This was our first stay in a Wetherspoons hotel and it did not disappoint. Lovely room, comfortable bed, nice shower, air conditioning that actually worked, tea, coffee and water provided. Very friendly and helpful staff too. Highly recommend and would definitely use a Weatherspoons hotel again.

Booked last minute for 2 nights as a heavily pregnant woman trying to survive the heat! The air con is beautiful! The staff hazel & sam were so helpful check in took 2 minutes as hazel could see i was dying! Room was lovely and clean. Bed was comfy with a walk in shower and a floating bath tub. Honestly it beat most "posh" hotels i stayed in. I herd no noise from the pub or road. Honestly outstanding for the price you pay to stay here!

Soooo, as you know already im a sucker for good service and even better food. Jesus No one could've prepared me for the most soft liquid eggs ive ever ingested, the saussages were standard for an expensive meal but for the low price of a fiver they were scrumptious. I was blown off of my chair in shock when a lovely little lady came over and asked if we were finished with our plates and took them away 😱, im absolutely flabagasted that this has ever happend in any of the wetherspoons ive ever been in, ive stayed in a few but this little lad has given a whole new aspect of wetherspoons customer service, very well done lady

Stayed the night of 5th June. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and also all the Wetherspoon's bar staff. The younger members were also very courteous. We were blown away with the high standard of the room, services in the room and plan to use again. Traditional Breakfast and refreshments bang on quality. We will look at other hotels available for short stay aways. Thank you staff at Pilgrims Progress.
