About Travelodge Bedford
Bedford sits at the meeting point of the A421 and A6, making it an easy stop for anyone travelling through Bedfordshire, and Travelodge Bedford is positioned right at that junction on Bedford Heights. It's a practical base for visiting the town centre, the Bunyan Centre or Priory Country Park, without the fuss of city-centre parking.
The hotel has 51 straightforward rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and tea and coffee to hand, plus accessible rooms for those who need them. There's 24 hour reception, breakfast available on site, and an electric vehicle charge point for those driving in. Pets are welcome, and a pub or bar nearby covers evening food and drink if you'd rather not stay in.
Free on-site parking is included, though drivers are asked to register their vehicle at reception to avoid charges. It's a no-frills option rather than a destination in itself, but for a night near the A421/A6 junction with the essentials covered, it does the job.

What guests say
I just want to alert everyone who may not know that the booking line charges over £1 per minute to call. On this occasion I did not book a room as just wanted to make an enquiry as to whether I could pay on departure, which wasn't possible. Also though the number is under the local Travelodge it is actually a national booking line hence why it charges 0871 rates. To be fair the person who answered the call did deal with my enquiry quickly and efficiently.

Good location, unfortunately no AC and a crappy fan provided that made more noise than wind, room hit 31degrees. Bathroom drains stank, and the room smelt like old man sweat, had a better sleep in the car

Strange as it may seem, but there are no complaints about this hotel, except that the ventilation did not work in the bathroom ... Everything else is fine. Thanks!
