What visitors say
We had booked our stay until Monday but were asked to leave on the Saturday following a disagreement regarding the campsite’s quiet hours. On Friday evening, after 10:30pm, we were seated outside our pitch having drinks and a conversation. There was no loud music or disruptive behaviour. Nearby guests indicated that they did not consider our activity to be inappropriate and mentioned that they had stayed up later on previous visits. During the interaction, we were informed that we had previously received a warning, which we had not. The Operations Manager advised us that we would need to leave the site rather than attempting to resolve the situation. As we had paid for accommodation through Monday, we requested a refund prior to departure. The campsite provided a full refund for the unused nights. We acknowledge that campsites maintain quiet hours and associated policies. Had we been asked to reduce noise levels, we would have complied. Based on this experience, we would not recommend the site to families or groups seeking to spend time socialising outside their pitch in the evening.

Fantastic family camping, suitable for most types of camping and glamping. Beautiful setting, in terms of pitches and views. Particularly friendly staff team from welcome, to Quiet Time support :) to cleaners and check out. Two playgrounds, small stream at bottom of fields where kids can play, forrest area, big playing field in the middle for football and sports. We stayed in a yurt which was clean, well equipped and attractive. On site great restaurant with the best pizzas, friendly staff, good selection. Farm shop fully stocked with luxury products and good coffee and another cafe on site. Would highly recommend just don't book as large groups of more than 3 pitches as this is not a party camping.

This was our first stay at the site, it was absolutely fantastic, very well maintained, great customer service and the staff go out of there way to make your stay better. The food at the Rustic was 10 out 10, the showers, toilets and wash area extremely clean and tidy. We found the site relaxing with lovely surroundings, great fishing lake and plenty of places for any kids to play safely. We will definitely return and stay longer, so thank you to all the staff and look forward to seeing you soon.

Very disappointing stay. Hopleys charges extra for almost everything – electricity on top of an electric pitch, visitors, and even a gazebo on a pitch you've already paid for. It feels more focused on additional fees than customer experience. Noise wasn't managed consistently, and the rules seemed to be enforced selectively. We were told to be on our pitch by 10pm, yet larger groups elsewhere on the site appeared unaffected. The "no groups" policy is also confusing and inconsistently applied – larger family groups were clearly present throughout the campsite. The food was okay, but overpriced and very slow to arrive. The cabins are also much smaller than they appear in the photos. The wide-angle images are misleading, and the top bunk has very limited headroom, even for children. For the price charged, this site offers poor value and doesn't feel particularly family-friendly. Sadly, we won't be returning.
