Riverside touring park on the Severn, five miles north of Worcester

About Wood Farm Caravan Park

Wood Farm Caravan Park occupies a quietly appealing spot on the banks of the River Severn, run by the same family for decades on their working farm near Grimley. The riverside pitches are genuinely popular with anglers and canoeists who can launch directly from the site, and the setting—mature trees fringing the water, open farmland behind—feels properly rural without being overly polished. Some visitors note the facilities can feel a little dated, but the straightforward shower and toilet block serves its purpose well enough.

Pitches include grass touring spots and hardstanding, all with electric hook-up available, and the park welcomes tents alongside caravans and motorhomes through the main season. Grimley's well-regarded riverside pub is within walking distance, and Worcester lies around fifteen minutes by car, making this a practical base for exploring both the cathedral city and the quieter northern stretches of the Severn valley.

I only wished my partner had read the reviews before booking. On arrival welcome was not particularly friendly. We arrived late so after eating went for a walk and to the local pub for a drink. Nice but expensive. Plus it was closing on a Saturday night just after 9! Went back to the campsite and used the toilet facilities. Really pokey outdated in need of modernisation and more importantly dirty. Two toilets one not flushing properly handle faulty and one shower. I did not realise there was not a separate shower block. How can the site cope in busy times? Partner went to use shower im the morning and was less than impressed. Same as ladies dirty and outdated. Plus adding insult to injury you had to pay. This is not highlighted on website! We left immediately after getting a refund and went to the local swimmong baths for pur showrt. Avoid at all costs.

As a site, maybe not the best. Owner didn't seem to be very interested, and had a bit of a negative attitude. Very tired, basic and not very clean facilities. A shame, as the situation is excellent! Some very nice walks direct from the site, in a nice village with a good pub, shop and loads to see and do in the area. Probably won't use it again

Pitches seem well kept and alot were level and alot were on a steep slope. The toilet/shower block was dreadful. Dirty with toilet seats broke and hanging off, shower didn't look like it had been cleaned for months if not longer. 20p for 2mins or £1 for 10mins which you wouldn't mind paying if the facilties were clean and maintained. 2x toilets and 1 toilet/shower cubicle in both men's and women's area, would be a nightmare if campsite was busy. It's a shame as these toilets/shower block really let the site down. We had a pretty level pitch and not to far from fresh water tap, although the electric points are spread out and I'd recommend a long ehu cable. £28 per night we enquired about camping and caravan club discount but was told same price anyway.

We booked as a club member on a 5 van site to find that it was part of a larger commercial site near a busy road. Paid 28 pounds. The toilet emptying facilities were the most disgusting I have seen in 50 years of caravanning/ motorhoming as the area was filthy and very open for all to see! Sloping site with very little to commend.
