A lovely, old, traditional English country home, and friendly hosts made this a perfect two day stay. Breakfasts were enjoyable not only for the wonderful food but also the engaging conversations as Caroline cooked and Keith entertained! Highly recommended.

To be honest our visit didn’t get off to a great start, struggling in the dark to find it and then Caroline not having put our booking in her diary. Thereafter she was a perfect host even after the tough day she’d had. She very quickly made the room up while we drank the coffee she’d made us. We stopped in the Tapestry room and what a room it is…if you’re short lol. A super comfortable bed and a nice big bath with plenty of hot water. Next morning, after a game of tennis (she won)not vs us I hasten to add, she produced a simply fabulous breakfast. Fresh fruit, cereals, coffee, fruit juice and the most amazing full English. All the freshly cooked ingredients were perfect. We couldn’t fault it in anyway, in fact we couldn’t fault anything about our stay. We stopped off on the way home from Heathrow and if we’re ever in the need to do something similar again, this will definitely be our first option.

Booked the two rooms for a two night stay for a wedding nearby. The general decor of the farmhouse was authentic and beautiful. The beds and bedding were fantastic. We all agreed it was the best nights sleep ever. Worth staying just for the fantastic breakfast provided by Caroline, who together with her husband Keith made us feel very welcome and at ease. I highly recommend this accommodation.
