Came here Sunday for the finale of Matilda with my 6 year old daughter. The venue is good, with plenty of areas to purchase drinks, snacks and merchandise. Short que to get in 20 minutes before the start. Some bag checking on entry. Very helpful and accommodating staff to help you find where you are going and child booser seats.

Visited to see Miss Siagon ans we weren't disappointed. We had a brief bag search on entry and then were greeted by helpful staff whom directed us to our seats. We had purchased drinks and snacks prior to our seating and our only issue with the pre opening was there weren't many seats for patrons to sit on and we ended up sitting on some stairs as we waited but it wasn't a major issue. Before the show started the staff walked around with placards showing no filming and to put phones on silent which was good to alert and remind the visitors. The show was superb, a well presented show, with a fabulous cast, the engineer was incredible! We loved every minute of our visit and we it continued as we left we saw Miss Saigon herself at the stage door and she graciously stopped for a chat and a picture. A wonderful day all round and I would have no hesitation in recommending you stopped for a show and visit.

If i could give this place a higher star rating, I WOULD without a doubt! I, along with my friends from my sixth form went there to complete work experience there for 4 days; monday, tuesday, thursday and friday, from 10am till 2pm, and I must say, I enjoyed it massively. The staff were all friendly and helpful towards us, showing us the variety of jobs people do in the theatre. They gave us a tour of the building and hosted workshops, which all went superbly well. I also enjoyed getting to know other students that came for the work experience from other schools and colleges too during the week. Out of all the workshops that I did over the week, my two favourite ones are the “Restaurant workshop” and the “Visitor experience assistance workshop”, because I liked playing the different roles in a restaurant, getting to experience what’s it like to scan visitors’ tickets, and most importantly having banter and a bit of laugh while doing those workshops. I went to watch the Mamma Mia performance too on Wednesday 20th May. the performance was a huge success, though I fell asleep for a large portion of the show lol. That’s basically my review of this theatre-the week i spent there went well, and without a single bit of doubt I would DEFINITELY recommend this to other people out there.

I havent been to the hippodrome since I was younger to watch the ballet. Kids and work seem to take up my time, however this year's new year's resolutions was to go see more shows. The production was excellent. The seats very comfortable and the place very clean. The staff as my ticket wasnt working on my phone advised I go to the back box office and they were extremely helpful, security was also polite. I did think drinks were going to be ridiculous but to be fair they were reasonable given the venue. Overall I enjoyed my whole experience and ive been looking for tickets to something else I fancy watching.
