About Somers Wood Caravan Park
Somers Wood has earned its strong reputation among touring caravanners through consistently high standards and immaculately kept grounds. The adults-only park offers spacious hardstanding and grass pitches – all with electric hook-up, many fully serviced with water and drainage – arranged around its own coarse fishing lake on the edge of Meriden. Facilities are a particular strength: visitors praise the spotless, modern shower block with excellent water pressure and step-free access, while free Wi-Fi, a motorhome service point and well-maintained dog walks add to the polished offering.
Location is another major draw. The park sits just off the A452, putting Birmingham city centre, the NEC, Birmingham Airport and Coventry all within 20–25 minutes by car – ideal for exhibition visits or exploring the West Midlands. Meriden village, with its shops, pubs and cafes, is an easy walk, and there's a golf course nearby offering food and drinks. Couples seeking a quieter, more refined alternative to the region's family sites consistently return here for the peaceful atmosphere and friendly, helpful management.
