A lovely one night stay in the hostel. Comfortable room, friendly and helpful welcome. Fully equipped kitchen. Just what we needed.

Thank you for such a brilliant stay in Orkney. The campsite itself was perfect, you had everything you needed to make a perfect camping trip and it was so easy to get about in our car. Was very nervous as it was my first time but the showers/toilets were in immaculate condition, felt like you were in your own shower at home. They also had a communal area with a fridge, a kettle and a drying room which had a washing machine and dryer for like £1 or £2 a turn. Got to meet 2 of the wardens Alan and Paul, who were incredible. They were so friendly and each day checked in how we were and honestly made the stay! They were in cleaning communal areas constantly and were always just a message away if you needed anything. Thank you so much for a great stay, we have already planned to come back!

We intended to stay one night and stayed for three. Flat grass pitch with great views, spotless toilet and shower block and use of a washing machine and line. Fantastic walk to the Palace, tea room and out to Brough of Birsay at low tide was a highlight of our Orkney trip. The staff were friendly and full of useful local information. We would definitely stay here again.

A very quiet, clean and spotless site. Excellent hot showers and a helpful Warden. Bear in mind, this is Orkney. It blows like hell and rains a lot. You can bank of four seasons in ten minutes as the weather here is so changeable. Other options and experiences are of course available but these were mine at the time - June 4th
