Hidden in the North Pennines AONB near Wolsingham, Weardale Retreat offers a single luxury shepherd's hut on a working farm – adults only, but dogs are warmly welcomed. The ensuite accommodation comes with its own hot tub, perfect for soaking under dark Pennines skies after a day exploring Weardale's stone villages and moorland trails.

Incredible place for a peaceful couples retreat. So cosy and the hot tub was a luxury bonus. One of my favourite places I've ever stayed in the UK and i will definitely be going again. Hosts are lovely too, including the curious cows!

Wow!! Those amazing views and the peaceful location. Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. Couldn't have had better weather either. It was totally wonderful. Comfy bed and pillows, everything provided in the hut and they even lit the hot tub for our arrival!! Very friendly owners and they have thought of everything to have an enjoyable stay. One thing I missed was a mirror - perhaps this could be fixed to the front of the wardrobe door, just to see when styling hair etc.

We had a lovely time Glamping at Weardale Retreat! A small Shepherd Hut tucked away on a beautiful farm. The hosts were great, we had everything we needed, and allows us to charge our EV during our stay, which meant we could go sightseeing without worrying about charging. We enjoyed our stay!

we had an incredible stay here, there’s everything you would need, lots of added touches that were very grateful for, very delicious eggs & honey from the farm. lovely quality coffee machine. we loved seeing all the farm animals & the amazing views, lots of picturesque walks near. hosts are amazing & very helpful, couldn’t ask for more, we’ll definitely back. thank you very much we loved everything about it.
