What visitors say
We stayed in the bell tent to celebrate my partner’s 30th birthday, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The location was amazing, with beautiful surroundings that made the whole experience feel really special. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. The bell tent itself was fantastic—spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Every little detail had been thought of, and it made the birthday celebration even more memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing getaway!

Amazing stay, We had a wonderful experience staying here! The tent was absolutely perfect clean, incredibly comfortable, and the toilet and shower room were spotlessly clean, and having a reliable supply of hot water made the outdoor stay feel so comfortable.

We have just returned from an incredible family weekend at the Ribble Valley Retreat and couldn't reccomend it more. The views are absolutely stunning and the bell tents were beatifully done with such attention to detail. The beds were super comfy and they were super spacious, even for our family of five. The outside shower was amazing too. Emma and Peter were incredible hosts and went out of their way to make the weekend special for us. There's so much space for the kids to run around and toasting marshmallows on the open fire was so much fun. We took a short 10 minute train ride to Clitheroe where we visited the castle, had ice cream and visited the Bowland Brewery. We also went to the local Black Bull pub where the Sunday roast boards were delicious. It was such a relaxing place to stay, the kids had the best time. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

We have just returned from 2 nights at RVR - would recommend this to anyone looking for an upmarket camping experience. Site is lovely and so well maintained - we loved our tent which was spacious, clean and really comfortable. We were offered the chance to upgrade to one of the huts for a small fee and they looked amazing with lots of mod cons but were so happy with our booked tent we stuck with that. Shower and toilet facilities are very close to all accommodation and modern, clean and ideal for families. Our hosts were great and always on hand to answer any questions and make some great local recommendations, and extremely friendly. The site is well located in a nice village in easy driving reach of lots of great places to eat and visit, and is a 5 minute walk to the train station. We will definitely return if/when we head back to this part of the country.
