What guests say
We were a little sceptical when we booked this hotel which came with day passes to the Pleasure Beach at a cracking price. We needn’t have worried this hotel is outstanding. The reception area is bright and smells lovely with apples on the low coffee tables and mints on the desk. Our rooms were ready at noon which was amazing and gave us plenty of time on the Pleasure Beach. The rooms are excellent with a lovely, comfortable super king bed, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, plenty of storage and the usual bathroom amenities. We overlooked the theme park. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean both in the rooms and the communal areas. We were going to eat out in the evening but decided to eat at the hotel as it was raining heavily. We set off the à la carte menu and the meals were superb - I can highly recommend the steak which was cooked to perfection. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Blackpool and will return in future.

We loved our stay in Blackpool and we would come back 100%. I echo all of the other reviews, great hotel we were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Staff all friendly and nothing too much trouble. Rooms clean and comfortable. Food excellent. Plenty of parking spaces. Excellent location for the beach, shops, tram stop and of course the rollercoasters. Just loved it and hope to visit again soon 😊

We had such an amazing time at The Big Blue! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, even upgrading us to a room facing the park which made the stay so magical for me. Getting to see the coasters testing right outside our window in the morning was so cool. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The overall value is excellent especially since park tickets were included with our stay (I believe certain days are excluded; I'd recommend checking ahead of time) and we got early entry through a convenient resort gate. I would absolutely stay here again on a return visit.

We stayed here for two nights this weekend whilst visiting pleasure beach and overall it was decent. Positives: Right on site for pleasure beach and even has its own entrance. If you’re lucky, like we were, your room backs onto the park and you can see the rides, the kids loved this! The staff were terrific, all friendly and happy to help. The hotel was pretty clean, had parking (£10 per day) and is clearly set up for people at the theme park. We had 5 in our room and we usually tend to get 2 rooms, but this one was fine. Bunk beds are almost separate from the main room which helps to make it feel bigger. Negatives: When we showered the bath filled up so was obviously blocked, which was horrible! The pillows were awful and we didn’t sleep too well. Breakfast was really poor, £18 for adults and £9.50 for kids which is insane, and for that price I was expecting it to be brilliant. It was somewhere between an IKEA and Premier Inn in terms of quality but far more expensive. Buffett style, not much variation and average food, probably the most disappointing bit of the stay, a real let down. Overall it was decent though and we’d stay again if we ever come back.
