Scarning Dale Cottages - The Lodge

Families and groups of up to six find plenty of space at The Lodge, a three-bedroom cottage standing alone on 25 acres of grounds in Breckland. The property has two bathrooms, a living room with television, a dining room, and a kitchen with breakfast area where you can prepare meals throughout your stay. Bed linen and Wi-Fi are included; heating runs on oil (charged separately November to March). One dog is welcome, provided it stays on a lead outside the enclosed garden.

The real draw here is the setting. Walking trails thread through meadow and woodland from your doorstep, passing a lake and pond where you might spot wildlife and birds. The grounds also contain an indoor heated swimming pool available for private use for an hour a day by arrangement, plus table tennis and a shared snooker table. You have your own garden with furniture. Parking is on site, and a cot is available if you ask when booking.

The Norfolk coast lies within reach for beaches and nature reserves, while the Norfolk Broads—famous for boat hire and riverside facilities—are about 40 minutes away by car. The property does not permit smoking.
