Solar Rise Lodges - Chestnut Lodge
Breckland

Breckland's rolling farmland forms the backdrop to Chestnut Lodge, a single-storey property that opens directly onto meadows and grazing pastures. The whole lodge is yours alone, built on one level with a ramp for wheelchair access, so movement around the space is straightforward. A spacious open-plan living area runs the length of the property, with sliding doors onto a glass veranda where you can sit with views across the fields. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave—rather than holiday basics.
Bedrooms number two: a double and two singles. The single bathroom contains a walk-in shower, heated towel rail and a separate toilet. One dog can stay free, though livestock grazes nearby so it must remain on a lead. The enclosed garden and patio give a secure outdoor space, and there is parking for two cars on site. Electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included; an electric car charging point is available at extra cost.
Old Buckenham village—which has the largest green in England—lies just ten minutes' walk away, with two pubs and a shop. Banham Zoo, Snetterton Race Circuit, the WW2 airfield museum, Wymondham Abbey and Norwich's medieval centre with cathedral and castle are all within reasonable reach. Thetford Forest offers woodland walks. The property does not permit smoking.
