About Popcorn Camping Brecon
Foraging for a place to pitch in the Brecon Beacons National Park? Popcorn Camping Brecon sits on the outskirts of this busy market town, surrounded by hills and within easy reach of both mountain trails and canal-side strolls. It's just a 15-minute walk along the towpath into Brecon's centre, where you'll find the cathedral, heritage centre, pubs and cafés worth exploring. Pen y Fan and Fan Fawr are both a quarter-hour's drive away, making this a proper walkers' paradise for hikers and their dogs alike.
The site welcomes campfires and barbecues, so evenings can revolve around outdoor cooking if you stock up in town beforehand. Facilities cover the basics—showers, toilets, washing-up—and the atmosphere leans peaceful despite the spectrum of guests (families, D. of E. groups, motorcyclists, rallies). It's a pop-up setup, so don't expect manicured grounds, but the spectacular scenery more than compensates. Whether you're here to tackle the high peaks or drift gently along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, this spot gives you the best of both worlds.

What visitors say
During our three-week road trip with our rooftop tent, Cefn Cantref Campsite was one of our first stops, and what a fantastic start it was. The views of Pen y Fan are simply stunning. The campsite is one large, spacious field, so there's plenty of room and privacy. The shower and toilet facilities were absolutely spotless throughout our stay. One of the highlights is that you can walk across the fields straight into Brecon and start your hike up Pen y Fan from there, making it a great base for exploring the area. There's very little natural shade, so if you're visiting on sunny days, it's worth bringing a sunshade or awning. Thank you for a lovely stay, we'd happily recommend this campsite to anyone visiting the Brecon Beacons.

We went with our disabled son and also a six week baby and it was fantastic. Owners were amazing and offered us any help. There is a fridge onsite so breastfeeding friendly. The disabled facilities are fantastic, showers and disabled toilets are so clean and amazing. We were really impressed with the site, so spacious and the kids could just run. Will be going again!

Great little campsite. We only stayed one night as part of a road trip. Decent facilities that were clean. Easy check in, easy to find - and oh what a view! It's super quiet too. Just what we needed. Would definitely stay again.
