Stayed over a long weekend, Steve and Pete were great hosts, very helpful and attentive. Room was good although a tad too much furniture in it making it awkward to get around, en suite shower and toilet were quite compact, tea and coffee was plentiful in the room, and the complimentary home made shortcake was delicious. Breakfast was really good, a range of cereals, fresh fruit salad, toast, and a good selection of cooked food available, the bacon and black pudding were delicious! On site parking available for two vehicles, plenty on street available on a quiet, wide street. Altogether a comfortable enjoyable stay was had, with convenient walking access to the beach, and an easy walk into town.

What a lovely location and the rooms were perfect with a lot of thought given to the decor. Breakfast superb, but the best thing about our stay here were the hosts, Steve & Tony, what a team, so welcoming you felt like you had known them all your life, thanks lads for a lovely stay. PS keep making the biscuits 🙂

Very enjoyable stay with Tony and Steve, lovely rooms nicely coordinated decor, everything you need is there. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, always came away full! And the homemade biscuits are to die for(sorry Steve couldn't help myself, had to take them home!) Would recommend a stay here, just like home from home, if we are that way again we woukd definitely stay again!

I've stayed at South Lodge several times now and I can't recommend it enough. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable; the breakfast is fantastic and Tony and Steve are wonderful hosts - welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location is nice - south beach is only about a 5 minute walk away with the town centre being about another 10 minutes further. All in a lovely place to stay.
