About Russell's of Broadway

Russell's of Broadway occupies the former showroom of the celebrated furniture designer Sir Gordon Russell, whose work transformed Broadway's fortunes in the early twentieth century, and the building's design heritage is still visible in its clean lines and airy, gallery-like dining room. The restaurant downstairs is the main draw for many visitors, a steak and seafood grill run by head chef Darius Hulpe with an emphasis on flame-grilled Cotswold steaks, Welsh lamb and fresh fish alongside an extensive wine list.

Upstairs, eight boutique bedrooms are furnished in a contemporary style that suits the building's design pedigree, giving Russell's the feel of a restaurant with rooms rather than a conventional hotel; it's a good fit for visitors who want a comfortable base built around an excellent dinner rather than extensive hotel facilities. An on-site art gallery adds a further link to Broadway's long-standing associations with craft and design.

The High Street location puts guests within easy walking distance of everything else in the village, from independent shops to the walk up towards Broadway Tower, and the restaurant's popularity with non-residents means booking a table, as well as a room, well in advance is worthwhile.

Had a wonderful stay at the Russell’s. We had a bumpy start as the wrong room was booked by a third party booking agent. That said, the manager took over and solved the problem within minutes. Including a wonderful upgrade! The facilities were excellent. The rooms spotless! The service personnel were highly professional and continuously asked how our stay was proceeding. The dinning in the evening presented very nice dishes with a good variety to choose from and the breakfast which was included in the cost allowed for customized choices. Highly recommend when in the Cotswolds!

Well, my first visit to Russel's on spring bank holiday with beautiful weather to go with my visit. My favourite place in the Cotswolds, and discovering Russel's was a blessing. Received in a welcoming and friendly manner, sat outside and received fantastic service. I had the lamb cutlets, the best I've had in the UK. My wife had the duck salad, and absolutely raved about it. I highly recommend Russel's, and plan a return soon, and will be staying over for two nights. We'll done guys, absolutely 💯 wonderful experience 👏.

We stayed here while hiking some of the Cotswold Way. The room was large for Europe standards, comfortable and luxurious with plush bedding and towels. Breakfast was so lovely - a small table of yogurts, fruits, cereals and juices, followed by someone taking your order for an English breakfast, vegetarian English breakfast, avocado toast with poached eggs and more. It's right on the main street, close to a Coop for picking up trail snacks. We also dined at their Fish and Chips casual spot on the side of the hotel - absolutely delicious! Broadway was one of our favourite towns to visit in the Cotswolds, and we'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
