This review is purely based on touring. Good bits: Staff on reception are brilliant and friendly. Psrk is tidy and clean and facilities are excellent, including sanitary blocks. But touring pitches are full of goose muck ( not sure how to resolve), pool shuts at 5!!! ( lifeguard said it was because of staff hours! Most businesses work around customer needs not staff). Currently serious civils and noisy groundwork. They have 5 closed months to do these, not annoy guests who have paid an expensive £55 pn. Finally kicking people off pitches at 11when quiet plus when check in isn’t till 12 is unnecessary. Sort the bits out and it could be really nice

As a young couple with a 1 year old and a 5 year old, we had a mostly negative time at Cosgrove Caravan Park due to a number of serious problems. Even though the park was open for the season, it still felt like a building site with lots of unfinished maintenance work everywhere. Hygiene in the on-site cafe was worrying – I saw reused spoons left out on the counter and then used again to stir drinks. Yuk! Safety was a major concern too. Cars regularly sped well over the 10 mph limit and didn’t give way to pedestrians, which made walking around with my child and pram feel genuinely threatening. We cowered to the side off the road (there are no paths mostly except for the playground area) but were still driven right at. Still can't believe it and this wasnt one car, it happened more than once around the lake. Accessing the main entrance is also dangerous, so even getting there should be thought twice about, a narrow bridge that drivers constantly speed over without being able to see if there are cars coming the other way, combined with a 90 degree corner round a house that makes it feel really unsafe as you cant see whats coming and it just as dangerous as the bridge. No other way in. We also experienced quite inconsiderate behaviour from other guests. People were pressure-washing their cars and driveways right as we walked past, soaking us with no regard for pedestrians at all. We even stopped and made eye contact, but they carried on – whether that’s just a wider social issue or not, it shouldn’t happen in a family park. Finally, there were loads of e-scooters being driven around the site. It’s quite laughable that the park supposedly enforces a ban on them, because plenty of people were using them anyway with no apparent action being taken. Speaking to other residents, all these problems arent new. They have seen it time and time before. This doesnt feel family friendly at all. I think kids just wander unatended from what I can see but as its not safe to walk with a pram, I'd suggest the kids are told to watch the roads. Overall, the site has real potential but these issues spoiled the visit for us. I’d be very keen to hear what the park plans to do to address them. If you’re considering staying here, please take this review as a friendly heads-up before booking, as I doubt anything will actually be done and I will update this review if anything is, to be fair.

On the way to the main entrance to Cosgrove Caravan Park is extremely dangerous. It features a blind one-way corner where large vehicles and selfish drivers constantly cut the corner, nearly causing accidents every single time. A mirror is needed, but I doubt it would help. To make matters worse, there’s a small blind bridge just before it. The whole approach is becoming so hazardous that the park feels increasingly unvisitable. A mirror is needed, but I doubt it would help. The site has clear rules banning electric scooters and bikes, yet they’re everywhere. The type of visitors has changed completely, and we no longer feel safe. This is almost certainly because none of the rules are ever enforced. The staff might as well be cardboard cutouts — they do absolutely nothing. There has already been one major fight that required police involvement. Instead of fixing the essential work that actually needs doing around the site, management wastes time and money on pointless pet projects, like laying paths in areas where they aren’t needed, while ignoring the real problems. You just do not feel safe anymore.

One of the best parks in the UK. Facilities are excellent and the staff are friendly amd helpful. The groundskeepers do an amazing job in keeping the site immaculate.
