About Bay Tree Hotel
Sheep Street runs through the heart of Burford, one of the Cotswolds' well-known stone-built towns, and it's here that the Bay Tree Hotel makes its home at numbers 12-14. The surrounding countryside, with its honey-coloured villages and river valleys, is within easy reach for day trips, while the hotel itself offers a quiet retreat with a garden to sit out in when the weather allows.
There are 21 rooms at the Bay Tree, all offering comfortable accommodation for a stay in the area. Guests have use of a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast each morning, free WiFi throughout, and meeting rooms for those combining business with a visit to the Cotswolds. Luggage storage is available for those exploring before or after checkout, and pets are welcome to join their owners.
Free on-site parking is provided, a useful convenience given Burford's town centre setting. The hotel makes a sensible base for exploring the wider Cotswolds, with its stone cottages, market towns and country walks all within striking distance of Sheep Street itself.
Guests mention this hotel offers comfortable and clean rooms, with many highlighting the spaciousness and tasteful decor. They also frequently praise the delicious food, especially the breakfast and dinner options, noting generous portions and reasonable pricing. Visitors consistently commend the staff for being friendly, helpful, and providing excellent service.
