About Ty'n Rhos Farm Caravan Park
If your holiday remit is proximity to Eryri National Park and plenty of room for the kids to run around, Ty'n Rhos Farm Caravan Park in rural Gwynedd is the site for you. Super-spacious grass and hardstanding pitches have stunning views to the peaks of Eryri (20 minutes' drive), and are set around the perimeter of a level two-acre camping field, leaving the centre open for recreational use and exercising any dogs.
The site is set on a working beef and dairy farm with a free-range herd grazing in the fields; their milk is sold locally to produce Welsh cheese and butter. Handy amenities include separate shower facilities for men and women with large spacious cubicles, ample hot water, a washing-up room and a freezer pack service for keeping your food fresh. Barbecues are welcome, and you can stock up on goodies to grill at Bontnewydd (10 minutes), where there are a couple of pubs and takeaways if you're not a great lover of alfresco cooking. You can also be on a beach in 10 minutes by car, while the Llŷn Peninsula, Eryri and Isle of Anglesey are within easy reach for family days out.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely quiet campsite overlooking the mountains, very picturesque. Very flat and level land. Facilities are basic but kept very clean. My daughter enjoyed playing with Bette, the farm dog. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you

Loved our two night stay here, a great place to explore on our bikes. Super friendly owners. Super clean shower block, one shower but it was alright. Fantastic views of the mountains over Snowdon which were very visible on a clear day. Loved that the farm dog kept paying us a visit she loved our Jack Russell! Thank you for having us at short notice, we would definitely come back x

The site's location is quite picturesque and offers a beautiful natural setting. However, there are areas for improvement regarding the facility itself. We experienced an issue with our pitch, as we did not receive the location we had originally booked. The site accommodates multiple permanent caravans. Unfortunately, the caravan directly in front of us was the centre of heavy social activity, with loud music and gatherings that continued late into the night. This environment, coupled with the presence of multiple dogs, resulted in significant noise disturbances, including barking that persisted until nearly midnight, which appeared to be a source of amusement for those involved. Additionally, the restroom facilities are limited, consisting of only two toilets and one shower for men and the same number for women, for the entire site, which is quite large. This may lead to extended wait times, which is something potential visitors should be prepared for. Overall, the atmosphere on the site tends to feel exclusive, and the available facilities do not adequately accommodate the number of guests present. Furthermore, the booking system seems ineffective, operating on a first-come, first-served basis rather than ensuring reserved pitches.
