Cedar Barn is a converted stone barn in Northowram, positioned on one of the region's main walking trails. The Calderdale Way runs past the property, making it a natural base for exploring the countryside on foot or by bike. Shibden Hall, the 600-year-old house used as a filming location for Gentleman Jack, is a five-minute drive away. The surrounding landscape—4 acres of grounds with views across rural Calderdale—makes this the kind of place where you can step outside and walk in multiple directions without much planning.
The property sleeps four across two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Ground floor space includes a kitchen equipped for cooking (electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher), a living area with a smart TV, and a shower room. Upstairs are a super king bedroom with French doors to a Juliet balcony and a second bedroom with a zip-and-link bed. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The standout feature is the private hot tub, which sits in the patio area outside. There is private parking for two cars and an electric vehicle charging point.
The cottage is entirely yours for the duration of your stay. No smoking is permitted. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.

Cedar Barn was as perfect and welcoming as when we first visited two years ago. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the barn which offered everything that we could have hoped for. Very well fitted out with high quality appliances and equipment. Extremely comfortable and spacious, in a beautiful setting with great views. Roger and Michelle were excellent hosts, friendly and informative. The EV charger was a real bonus.

We’ve stayed here for the last three years there are two semi detached houses that each can have 4 people, the house is immaculate, the decor is beautiful, the kitchen well stocked with multiple appliances and plenty of space and 2 en-suite bathrooms and a toilet and shower downstairs. Excellent to stay indoors for the weekend or as a staging point.

A beautiful barn conversion situated in an equally beautiful setting. The house itself is very tastefully set out and very comfortable. (Once you get past the cushions on the couch! I thought my wife was over the top with cushions but Michelle definately takes first place!). Both Michelle and her husband Roger were very pleasant and welcoming. The only let down was the weather. It poured down almost non-stop which put a bit of a dampener on the trip. (Pun!) Would definitely go again but not in October.

AMAZING PLACE!! We came for valentines weekend for 3 nights and we didn't want to leave. The barn was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Michelle and Rodger have spared no expense converting this place. It's definitely home from home. The smallest things like the ice machine in the fridge just makes the whole experience that little bit better than other places! We can't wait to come back in the summer!! Thank you
