May Cottage
Calderdale
You arrive at May Cottage to find a two-bedroom cottage sleeping four, freshly renovated with a layout that works for families or friends sharing. Ground floor holds the living room—warmed by a wood-burning stove, with a smart TV—and a well-equipped kitchen where you can actually cook: electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine all there. Upstairs are the bedrooms: one double bed, one pair of single beds, and a shower room with heated towel rail. Essentials like bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are covered; fuel for the stove is included too.
Outside, there's decking at the rear and an enclosed front garden facing south, with seating and views over the village playing fields. The setting is Warley in Calderdale, positioned where you can step straight into walking country—the Calderdale Way, a 50-mile circular route through West Yorkshire moorland and valleys, starts nearby. Halifax is a few miles off. One dog is welcome to stay. No smoking indoors. The cottage works for walkers, for people who want to base themselves somewhere quiet and cook their own meals, or simply for a couple wanting more space than they'd get elsewhere.
