The Coach House Halifax sits on the edge of town, far enough out to feel removed from the centre yet close enough to reach it on foot. This detached cottage gives you a whole property to yourself, with everything needed for a self-contained stay. Upstairs there's a double bedroom and bathroom with shower over the bath; downstairs, a living room and a kitchen equipped for cooking and washing up. The essentials—electricity, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels—are included.
Halifax has a strong Victorian character and industrial past. The Piece Hall, a restored Georgian market with shops and restaurants, is about a mile away, as are the Minster, theatres, and independent shops. If you're drawn to 'Gentleman Jack', Shibden Hall and its restored gardens are a five-minute drive. For outdoor pursuits, the local countryside opens up immediately—there are good cycling routes from the door, and Ogden Water Country Park is roughly 15 minutes away. Hebden Bridge, with its arts scene, is similar distance; Haworth and the Brontë country around half an hour; and the Yorkshire Dales an hour or so. Halifax train station is a 20-minute walk, serving Leeds and Manchester directly.
The cottage has parking for two cars and a front garden with seating. A pub lies within a mile. Smoking is not permitted.
