Built from a traditional Welsh longhouse and farmhouse buildings, Ty-Canol combines period character with practical modern conversion. The property occupies an elevated position on the edge of Broadlay, near Ferryside, along the historic pilgrim route to St David's Cathedral. Local materials and craftsmanship define the restoration throughout.
The accommodation runs across three floors and sleeps 13 across six bedrooms. Ground level has a living room with woodburner, dining room, full kitchen with range cooker, utility room and wet room. Upstairs, five bedrooms each have an ensuite—one with a bath and shower over, the others with shower cubicles or baths with shower attachments. The top floor holds a sixth bedroom with three single beds and its own ensuite. Bed linen and towels come with the rental, along with wifi, heating and logs for the burner. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and full-sized fridge.
Outside, a lawned courtyard garden with sitting area and barbecue opens from the house, and a balcony offers views across the grounds. Bike storage is on site, and there is private parking. One dog stays free. The surrounding area suits families and those interested in walking—the Millennium Coastal Cycle Path and Pembrey Country Park lie close by, and Ferryside itself remains quiet and undeveloped. Buses pass nearby, with connections to Carmarthen, Kidwelly and Swansea. No smoking inside the property.
