Buttermilk Cottage

Buttermilk Cottage is a two-bedroom stone property in a small hamlet of restored cottages near the Ceredigion coast. The ground floor holds a living and dining room with a TV and DVD player, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking with an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms—a double and a twin—and a bathroom with a bath and shower. Bed linen, electricity and Wi-Fi are included.

What sets this cottage apart is access to the shared grounds: an enclosed garden with a barbecue area, a heated outdoor swimming pool (open end of May through September, 9am to 6pm), and a tennis court. A one-car parking space comes with the property. The hamlet sits within easy reach of Cwm Tydu beach and the quieter coves of Cardigan Bay, where bottlenose dolphins and red kites are regular sightings. The nearby towns of New Quay and Llangrannog have pubs, cafes and restaurants; boat trips leaving from there search for dolphins regularly.

The location opens onto countryside suitable for walking, cycling, kayaking and paragliding. The Preseli Hills lie to the south, the Cambrian Mountains to the east, and Snowdonia National Park further north. The property is non-smoking.
