Carter’s Lodge

Carter's Lodge is a ground-floor apartment on a 200-acre working farm in the heart of Cheshire countryside. The space combines a living area, dining space and open-plan kitchen in one room, with a double bedroom and ensuite wet room. Parking for two cars is on site, and one dog is welcome provided it stays on a lead.

The farm itself is the draw. You can collect eggs, join a gator tour with the farmer, or experience seasonal lambing. Footpaths and bridleways cross the grounds, making it a natural base for walking. A pub sits within a mile. The apartment comes with wi-fi, heating, bed linen and towels; the kitchen has a cooker, dishwasher and fridge, so you can self-cater. A utility room with washer and dryer is shared with other properties on the farm. There's a sitting-out area with garden furniture. The grounds contain several unfenced ponds, so care is needed if you have young children. No smoking inside.
