About Poolsbrook Country Park Caravan and Motorhome Club Site
Nestled within 165 acres of reclaimed colliery land now beautifully transformed into Poolsbrook Country Park, this eco-conscious site makes clever use of sustainable energy features while offering easy access to Derbyshire's highlights. The park itself wraps around you with woodland trails, a children's adventure playground, visitor centre and cafe—perfect for families who want exploring on the doorstep without driving anywhere.
Pitches are well-spaced across this large site, and facilities include wheelchair-accessible showers and toilets, a parent-and-baby room, and launderette. Its position just off the M1 makes it a popular overnight stop, though some visitors note the touring area can feel a touch functional rather than scenic. Still, with Chesterfield's crooked spire and the Peak District both within striking distance, it's a practical, family-friendly base that takes its green credentials seriously.
