What visitors say
We had a great stay at Riverside Valley Camping with our kids and would happily return. The best thing about the site is the amount of space. It never felt cramped, and the owners were incredibly friendly, taking the time to introduce themselves and make everyone feel welcome. The whole campsite has a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind. The location is lovely, and the stream running through the site was a huge hit with the children, who spent hours playing in it. It was also really handy to have freshly made pizzas, ice creams and drinks available on site. There are a few areas that could be improved. The toilet facilities are very basic, with only two toilets available, which could become an issue when the site is busy. The playground is also quite limited and has plenty of space to be expanded or upgraded, which would make it even better for families. Overall, it's a friendly, peaceful campsite with a fantastic atmosphere. If you're looking for somewhere to relax and let the kids enjoy the outdoors, it's well worth a visit.

My second time at Riverside Valley Campsite and I will be back again (soon). The site is beautiful, surrounded by woodland, a view of a neigbouring lake can be seen from a private entrance, close to the sites very own river - with ducks/ducklings! We camped in the adults field, generous pitch, chosen by me and despite being busy over the weekend, lots of space for us all. We decided we HAD to meet Max and Paddy - the lamb cuddling experience, not just for children. We were not disapointed! All the animals are well cared for, as is the site - the facilities are clean and though simple nature toilets, comfortable and well maintained. The food van is a great addition, we had pizza on the second night and could have happily eaten more. We also had a fire pit on the second and third night, dropped at the pitch. The owners/family are so very welcoming and around, should you need anything. All in all, happy camper! We will see you again, next weekend...

We have just returned from 2 nights here in our MH, and will definitely return. We stayed on a riverside pitch in the adults only section. Nice and level. There are compost loos on site and a shower. Also fresh water taps. The home made pizzas were beautiful, we had one each evening. There's also breakfast available from the food van, although we didn't have any. Only point I'd make is if you book a riverside pitch, dont park up next to the beach bit into the brook as there's a steady stream of passing kids wanting a paddle. They're no bother but would intrude a bit if you're wanting some peace. Lovely couple run the site, go out of their way for the campers even delivering fire pits to hire and wood to buy. I recommend

Lovely peaceful campsite. Camped by the river. Very peaceful with some amazing wildlife. Owners were super-nice. Spent some time withe the new lambs. Owners bring fire pits and wood which were great. Came as a couple but would be great for families and only a very short drive from Sheffield.
