If you're looking for a peaceful, adults-only Gloucestershire retreat tucked away under a canopy of trees, you've found it at Cotswold Shepherd's Hut. This cosy, dog-friendly hideaway sits well off the road down a single track (with a few potholes, though the owners navigate it daily without issue), surrounded by woodland with its own private parking and a garden complete with firepit and comfortable wooden chairs. Everything's laid on inside: a double bed with quality linens, rainfall shower in the ensuite, and a well-designed kitchen corner with two-burner hob, fridge and microwave. There's a cosy living space warmed by an electric-powered "woodburner".
A 10-acre field stands adjacent to the hut, and there are direct walks into Chipping Campden (50 minutes on foot, 10 minutes by car), where you'll find restaurants, pubs and shops. There's no need to see anyone else at all if you don't feel like it.
