Cotswold Valley View Retreat is a single-bedroom lodge sleeping two people, set in the hillside village of France Lynch near Stroud. Everything you need is provided—wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels—so you can arrive and settle straight in. There's free parking on site, and the property welcomes one pet at no extra charge.

The lodge is entirely on the ground floor. The bedroom has a zip-and-link bed that can be arranged as a superking or as two singles. There's a walk-in shower and toilet. The open-plan kitchen and living space is where the real comfort lies: a proper cooker with gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and all the basics for cooking real meals. Bi-fold doors open from here onto a private patio with garden furniture and views across the valley. A utility room handles the practical side of things.

France Lynch sits in quiet countryside with a network of footpaths and bridleways for walking. A pub is within a mile. Nailsworth and Stroud, both with independent shops and cafés, are nearby for supplies and exploring. The Cotswold villages and their attractions—gardens, historic houses, farmers' markets—are within easy reach. No smoking inside the property.
