What visitors say
Amazing visit, was fab. Have seen it on TV but not "in the flesh." A nice little shop with a fishy, shells, coastal theme. Could do with bigger signs on the main roads leading to the grotto.

Amazing place, apparently discovered in 1835, but who constructed the grotto is a complete mystery Shells all seem to be local, like whelks, cockles, limpets, winkles, oysters, scallops etc, millions of them used to create the patterns on the walls. Mind boggling! Only takes 15 minutes or so to see, but well worth the walk from the station. Friendly staff, a decent gift shop, a visit to remember!

An amazing place. Found quite by chance on a day visit to Margate. Staff are friendly. The Grotto itself is an incredible space.... Lovely gift shop with something for everyone.

Great place to visit. Not what i expected as its not near the beach . Amazing selection if shells. The grotto itself was brilliant so much work must go in to keeping it as it is . And entry is very reasonable.
