Pen Cefn Farm - Tryfan

Photo: Pen Cefn Farm

Abergele sits on the North Wales coast with countryside stretching inland toward the hills. Pen Cefn Farm is set within that landscape, offering a working farm environment well away from town bustle yet close enough to reach Pensarn Beach in minutes or explore Gwrych Castle and the surrounding valleys on foot or by car.

Tryfan is a single bell tent sleeping two, with a double bed (4ft 6in), open-plan living and dining area, and direct access to an enclosed garden with seating and a barbecue. A shared shower block and external kitchen—both a short walk away—handle washing and cooking. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included; the kitchen has an electric hob, air fryer and fridge. You get private parking for two cars and your own outdoor space to sit in. There is no television inside the tent.

Pets stay free and are genuinely welcome here, which sets it apart from many holiday lets. The farm setting appeals to anyone wanting quiet rather than activity—couples, solo travellers, or those bringing a dog. No smoking inside the tent. Check-in is after 15:00, departure before 10:00.

The lodge is decorated and presented beautifully with all the necessities and extras readily available. The host was also very welcoming and respectful giving us guidance and assisting with our requests. I strongly recommend this lodge and would most definitely come back.

We stayed in the shepherds hut First we would start with the location Absolutely amazing, the view from the hut is incredible across all the farm lands. Next the hut itself, Inside is incredible, cosy perfect for a romantic getaway with a partner. The hottub is amazing!. We got it hot on night one and it held its heat till the day we left !. The bed inside the hut very comfy had 2 great nights sleep on it. Lastly would like to say the owner, is a very friendly and approachable person, quick message for anything we needed and he was alway there to give us what we needed. And if your a doggy person, youll love it here there is a beautiful friendly black lab called winnie, who love fuss and attention

I stayed with my dog for a couple of days. The room was clean, well-furnished and sleeps two people. A microwave and kettle were provided to make food and drinks. By car, the farm is close to lots of amenities and places to visit. We had lots of nice walks, although it rained a lot on the second day! The hosts (and the dogs) were incredibly welcoming. Thank you/diolch for a nice stay.

We’ve just had a lovely weekend here at Pen Cefn Farm in Winnie’s Hut for our anniversary. The hut is beautiful, spacious and clean. The views from the hut are lovely to watch the sunset and rise. The location is great, very quiet and peaceful. We used the hot tub, which was lovely and relaxing, only downside to the hot tub was there wasn’t a lot of privacy as other guests were parked close by. Apart from that we had a lovely relaxing weekend and will definitely be booking again. Medwyn is a great host, really friendly and helpful. Thank you again
