Bryn Guest House is a Victorian family home built around 1860 on Sychnant Pass Road, at the edge of Conwy's old town, with walled gardens that back directly onto the medieval town walls. It has been run as a bed and breakfast for many years and holds a 4-star Visit Wales rating, alongside a long-standing reputation as one of the best-reviewed guest houses in the town.
The house offers five bedrooms, four en-suite and one with a private bathroom, individually furnished in keeping with the building's period, and a separate holiday cottage on the grounds sleeping four. Breakfast makes use of local and seasonal ingredients, and the gardens, tended carefully enough to have won regional Wales in Bloom awards for years running, are a genuine feature of a stay rather than an afterthought.
Its position on the edge of the walls means the castle, quay and shops are all within a short walk, while the quieter setting on Sychnant Pass Road, heading out towards the pass itself, gives more peace than a stay directly in the town centre.

We had a wonderful week-long stay at Bryn Gest House and highly recommend it to anyone visiting North Wales. Location: The house is ideally positioned right next to the historic city walls. Conwy is a charming town with plenty to explore well beyond the famous 13th-century castle. It features great local pubs and restaurants and serves as an exceptional base for outdoor activities—we did a lot of hiking during our stay, and the area is perfect for it. The beach just north of town is also a very pleasant spot. Hospitality: Anne and Neil were fantastic hosts. They were incredibly welcoming and gave us invaluable local tips and advice on places to visit and routes to take. Their breakfasts are delicious and definitely worth having. Highly recommended for anyone planning to stay in Conwy.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage adjacent to the Bryn Guest House. This is a barn conversion to a self-catering cottage with a lovely sitting room, efficient kitchen, and separate bedroom with loft that can sleep four people comfortably. There is also off-street parking for one car included. Neil was super friendly and welcoming and provided a nice tea tray with snacks to get us settled. The owners also thoughtfully provided several guide books and maps of the region. Plus there is a washing machine and clothes drying rack available in the cottage.

Our stay at Bryn was amazing! We are from the US and it was so incredible to us to be staying next to a 750 year old city wall. The views! The gardens next to the walls were lovely. We didn't need our rental car for 2 days, because we could walk everywhere in Conwy from Bryn. Anne and Neil were fabulous hosts. From the moment we arrived Anne took care of us like we were family. She was helpful with all our needs. Anne and Neil are both great sources of information about Wales, Welsh culture, and the surrounding area, suggesting their favorite walks, and helping us to pronounce the names correctly! Anne made sure there was Welsh tea in our room each day. The breakfasts were delicious, and beautiful. You must try Anne's homemade Orange Ginger Marmalade! The room was spotlessly clean, tidy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable. We cannot say enough good things about Bryn Guest House.

A lovely stay at Bryn. Anne and Neil are superb hosts and are very knowledgeable anout the area and are really good at recommending places to visit. Everywhere was spotless, rooms had everything we needed and more. Breakfasts are good, lots to choose from and if you like marmalade, you'll love Anne's, especially the ginger one. A lovely victorian house and a pretty garden that is surrounded by one of the castle walls, we would highly recommend Bryn you won't be disappointed. Thanks again from Jenny and Graham
