About Bowling Green Farm Campsite
Tucked into rolling farmland just outside Redruth, this small, family-run site makes a breezy base for exploring Cornwall's mining heritage and gentle countryside. The large camping field comes with handy touches – a communal kitchen area (microwave, kettle, toaster), firepit evenings under the stars, and fresh free-range eggs available on site. A dog-friendly pub with proper real ale sits five minutes' walk away, while the Great Flat Lode trail – a 12-kilometre loop around Carn Brea – starts just ten minutes from your pitch.
Facilities are straightforward rather than fancy, but campers appreciate the peaceful setting and relaxed vibe. Dogs are welcome year-round (kept on leads), and there are good local walks nearby. Barbecues are encouraged – just prop yours up with a brick from the stack and dispose of ashes properly. After 10pm, keep noise to a minimum. It's a no-frills spot that does the basics well, ideal if you want quiet fields, firelit evenings, and easy access to Cornwall's less-trampled corners.

Perfect ! Lovely spotless low key site next to a working Family Farm. Spotless and well realised throughout with lovely level field bordered by established hedges. Nice distinction between EHU & non EHU pitches, all on grass. Spotless loos, showers, kitchen and sanitary facilities. Cracking 'old skool' pub at the bottom of the lane. All this, free wi-fi and superb value via 'Pitchup.com'. Recommended !

What a fantastic place to stay a Beautiful slice of heaven in the middle of the Beautiful Cornish Country side but not too far from the sea side, cosy cottage set behind a working sheep farm ,who happen to own the cottage ,the owners are your only neighbours and they are a lovely family who are only too willing to do what ever they can to make your stay happy ,they are there if you need them but leave you too enjoy your Holiday ,the cottage is a bungalow type so all on one level, Beautiful and clean all the amenities you could possibly want ,bonus ! open fire for those chilly nights but heating provided anyway two spacious bedrooms, shower and toilet room ,gally kitchen with all the gadgets you need, Dinning Area ,spacious living area ,Garden overlooking the farm fields complete with sheep to the front and Horses to the rear. The Garden is very nicely cared for and completely dog friendly. I can only Thank Naomi and her family(owners) for making our Holiday a perfect stay at a time we really needed a lovely peaceful Happy Restful Holiday. Would we go again ? Absolutely, the perfect place to enjoy with your furry Babies and friends or family. 100% We would and will go again .

We have had such a lovely time camping. Beautiful site, really clean toilets and showers. Owners are really friendly and some amazing animals to see on site. The fresh duck eggs in the morning have been such a treat. We 100% recommend and will be visiting again :)
